Low fat poppadoms - quick and healthy
Traditional way to cook a poppadom (Indian style of crunchy crispy bread scoop like Doritos or Nachos) is to deep fat fry them.

If you pop them in a microwave for 30 seconds or so, one at a time, you get pretty awesome results with no added fat (they've usually got a little coconut oil in them anyway so they don't need extra). First efforts are usually too pale or too burnt (brown circle in the middle) so practice is recommended.

A more hardcore method is to put the poppodom in a wok and skillfully apply a blowtorch flame, but that means you have to be skilled with blowtorch art or similar... a little extreme for most.

ALL poppodoms are marked as "for frying" but that's because the inventors generally weren't poor enough to run out of fat or frying facilities, unlike me. :)

Now, where did I put that blowtorch...
