I agree that the ability to use psi, has to be born instictively however I also believe that society drives that ablity out of most people. I think that everyone has some psi ablity though as we age we lose that

How would that be? Losing ability with age, I mean.

If you spend your entire life sitting in on a coach watching TV, and suddenly you get up and go to play baseball, you aren't going to be skilled. At all. Same concept for people that spend their entire life not using their sixth sense.

Yep.
when were little, and we have imaginary friends, or see pretty colors around people, are parents tell us to grow up. But what if those imaginary friends were dead relatives, or we actually saw auras.

Society doesn't nature those gifts, so the eventually fade away from use.

When we are born, we only see upside-down shapes and such. But society trains us to see things their way, literally, and it is flipped.(Or I think so, anyway, I didn't understand my physics teacher all that well)

I surrender with the hypothesis battle. For one, I have no real evidence and am outnumbered. Also, mine has holes in it, but we may still want to find out why random psis pop up with no psionic heritage. Of course, there are always carriers to the genes, that would work...

Except that it doesn't actually work that way. I showed no signs of psi sensitivity or awareness, at all, through my entire childhood. Those popped up spontaneously when I reached about age 15.

The people who have psi ability don't necessarily have any more exposure than those who don't. It's not a matter of 'don't use it, you lose it', because born-psis don't use it until it pops up and starts operating on its own--then they use it instinctively. And the majority of people, nons, don't.

So far, of the research I've done, looking at my own survey, as well as the Manhattan one. I personally hypothesize that first. Genetics seems to be a pretty big deal. That said, it appears that a person can have no psi gene. One of the various extremely rare specialty genes. Or a partial or born-on gene. Of the last two it seems like there's a connection that goes into how the person was raised, almost like the born-on gene allows for psi ability but the ability branches off depending on what happened to you specifically when you were growing up. I say this because damn well nearly all of the empaths had bad childhoods. Almost as if they were born psi active, but their brain decided to develop empathy to allow the individual to have emotional connections in their lives, this is because the person didn't have good emotional connections, only bad ones, which were mostly superficial. I could be wrong, this as I said is only a preemptive hypothesis. It predicts that if a person has the Born-on Gene, AND grew up without "Good" emotional interactions and connections with people.

I plan on maing my kids keep an open mind to all things. also i wont force anything on them but if they want to learn i will teach them to the best of my abilities. now do i think that they are born-on if i and my future wife were to both be in psionics? probably not. but i also kinda think that im a born-on empath and so maybe they could inherit that. =]
