Fluff and Flights of Fancy Is it absurd, "out there", vanishingly unlikely, ridiculous, or logically a bit questionable? Here's where it goes!

I wonder if there are more planets than just this one. I even suspect the existance of an afterlife.

We have official verification of other planets and personally(through various research which i don't care to explain) i believe all major governments are directed by one group and thus they are the only ones who get to communicate with any incoming aliens directly. Mass media is BS and idk how deep that BS goes but i got a hunch ts in the core our societies fundamentals.

What is the difference in the body at the moment of death? Body and organs are all still there intact, unless hit and your physical being doesn't immediately disappear. we cannot locate the exact place of consciousness but we can prove its existence, but not its death.

There's quite a thought provoking read out there, "The Romeo Error", by Lyall Watson. Goes quite deep into the issues.

Abraham is the Hebrew version of the name. Arabs talk of Ibrahim. A person that left a city in ancient times to go and be a farmer outside of his born society - a "pioneer" would be an apt modern description.

I have never heard a description of Abraham burning people. The "normal" Biblical tradition is that he offered his son Isaac as a sacrifice as a test of his obedience. He was then told that it wasn't necessary.

The Book of Mormon was/is just a retelling of the same old stories, by one Joseph Smith, the founder of Mormonism.

I have a certain respect for all Holy Books. Or rather, a respect for the people whose beliefs stem from them. People are pretty much people all over.

Reason? People have a lot of "common sense" really. If a cultural tradition serves a purpose, then it's usually maintained. Ones that don't serve a purpose and don't fit in with "common sense" get quietly forgotten.

still putting one through that does not sound like that act of love. test or no test it was not God. I respect religions like i respect opinions. only b/c of the contradictions and ignorance they progress. What Jesus stood for(righteousness, truthfulness, love etc), the God of the old testament lacked. And common sense is a myth. Only reason so many things are common is b/c we are grouped together and share very similar experiences depending on country. And just b/c a belief serves a purpose, does not mean its anymore worth following than a cult who praises the Sun. If the truths in the Holy Books are so sacred why do many rules contradict the actions of God in many cases. B/c the book was rewritten, with untainted truth being unwanted. it just baffles me that a being with so much skill to create the perfect timeless universe, could easily contradict himself and not respect the worth of his own words by breaking them. ex: God claims to love all but is partial to Jews.

I like religion. Would you then consider Jesus the ancient enemy? Before you laugh that off remember you are saved in the blood and body of Jesus Christ. You have no further responsibility after you say those magic words. There is something to be said of the god of the old testament. Yes there were many chastisements and torments for both the good and the wicked, But I feel that there was both growth and responsibility in the old religion.
