I dig what you're saying QFT. I also ain't debatin skills of clairvoyance, telepathy, or empathy neither. But I see it in a different light; our brains are incredibly smart machines, even for the most uncoordinated, uneducated human being, even for Down's Syndrome or other developmentally disabled brains.

Even though Deep Blue beat Gary Kasparoff at chess, Deep Blue still couldn't get up, walk out to a car, drive home, pour a glass full of strong booze, and navigate a hand with a cupful of liquid to a set of lips without spilling it. these take thousands of calculations, which we all perform effortlessly every day.

Deep Blue couldn't process and interpret the vast spectrum of odors that allows a dog to smell fear in a postman, or gauge the trajectory of a phone line with the accuracy that allows a squirrel to cross the street safely above traffic. you know what incredible processors they're using to teach computers how to avoid running into obstacles? rat brain cells.

much of psionics is the result of the most powerful computer in the world reacting to endless sources of input and stimulus and calculating them accurately. sometimes, as with emergency situations, the "computer-brain" can override the conscious brain to react with the necessary urgency.

it's the basis of this argument, really. research is as flawed as the people performing it. but eventually it comes round to reveal facts that become universally accepted. Newtonian physics. Astronomy. Deductive reasoning. Medicine. stuff like this was once the realm of witches or seers. science hasn't changed it; simply demystified it.
