Sports massage therapy

Hi, My son is a good Tennis player and very passionate about it. He almost topped every match. Last day, while playing Tennis, he was suffering from an elbow pain and was not able to lift his hands up. His pain has radiated to upper and lower arm. I made him try several DIY methods to overcome his pain, but all was in vain. I bought ointments and painkillers but he refused and was crying out of pain. One of my neighbors suggested undergoing physiotherapy to improve the blood circulation and functionality. So I'm planning to schedule an appointment with a sports massage therapist at a clinic in Toronto. My son is 15 years old. Is physiotherapy recommended for him? I have heard mixed reviews regarding this treatment. So Iím confused to make a decision. Any advice is highly appreciated. Thanks!!
