My father is suffering from dementia

Hey everyone! My father is suffering from dementia. He lost his hearing capability in an accident three years before. His left ear was completely damaged and hence he lost his hearing ability. His right ear is perfect. He is using hearing aid from that day onwards. But now due to dementia, he forgets to use it. We are planning to change this hearing aid to a new one. Our doctor referred us to a hearing aid specialist in Toronto who can really help us. As his right ear is perfect he is able to hear the sound but not that clearly that may be the reason he forgets about his hearing aid. So we need a hearing aid that can be placed permanently in his ears so that he will not remove it and forget about that. Is there any hearing aid you know? Will this kind of hearing aid very expensive? Will there be any problem if we keep this hearing aid permanently? Please share your thoughts. Thanks in advance!
