autistic people have stronger nerve impulses, (due to the overcompensation from lack of mirror neurons) so does that mean autistic people have a greater potential to become psionically active? or does it mean that they just have more psi than normal? (the latter is what I suspect)

Hmm, it is something to look into. we should round up some autistic people and do field scans to see if they generate any more psi then people without autism. a control group of non learned nons, and of psi active nons, as well as "normal" born-ons and a group of partials should provide for nice control data to use for comparison.

I'm thinking they just have more psi energy. Psi energy amounts may be genetic, that makes sense. but NoMad, that is the only thing that your post proves, not that psi abilities themselves are genetic. My dad and I are both natural swimmers. But i'm not physically fit, so I can't swim as well as he can, even though we have equal potential. See what I'm saying? Genetics may have a factor in psi energy itself, but not necessarily in the abilities showing themselves.

However, it is possible that the increased (genetics-caused) amounts of psi can cause the latent abilities that everyone has to show themselves, like a balloon with too much air. (sorry, bad comparison) The balloon explodes, all the air is free. Genetics may be a factor in abilities appearing, but only indirectly.

I find that to be a great anology. Have you done anything to support the idea? any of your own theories?

Empathy, That's exactly what I was trying to prove.

How are you trying to prove it?

Watching my 9-month old spontaneously throw a psi-ball at his father, and then stare curiously at his own hand (must have felt funny) leads me to strongly favor the idea that use of psi abilities is instinctive in some people. If it is instinctive, it is genetic.

I agree with WW on this, because when my daughter was only say, 5 months old, she began having an aura, it was quite distinct, and it isn't like anyone taught her(nor did I try pushing psi into the womb or anything of the sort) Also, now we have a sort of two way link going on for telepathy(not that she really knows what she is doing) regardless my point being stuff like that is genetic, sure it can be taken further by being taught, but for the most part you don't just surround your body in psi at random.

I assume you mean a stronger than usual aura, as everyone has a psi aura.
