I think you need to get over the misogyny implied in your post. :P

While I still haven't figured out what my math error may have been, I'm not too sure that suggesting that women hate men, for any or no reason at all, is equivalent to men hating women, for any or no reason at all.

That ought to shut him up if he is anything like his namesake.

Yes, Pav, it actually is. It is because you are promoting a negative stereotype. It is never a positive trait to HATE anyone. I don't personally take too kindly to being put in the same emotional category as the KKK.
I also do not hate men. In fact, I vastly prefer them over other women, as friends. This is part of why I found your statements extremely insulting.

just for the record (from the anthro department) there ARE cultures out there with more than just two genders. Even just genetically "male" "female" and "other" is not all encompassing. There is a culture out there with seven genders. BUT....

FEMALE

As much as I'm sure that you won't heed it, WW, I'm morally obligated to advise you to re-examine your male "friends." Not that they're trying specifically to hurt you, although that is certainly a possibility, but it is definitely very highly correlated.

list em off and i'll try to get wolf to let me add them in :P stating 'other' and lumping a bunch together is kinda insulting to anyone not claming 'male' or 'female'. I can see how to them i'd be like asking some one about their profession, saying:

"What do you do for a living?
a) Business/desk job
b) Services
c) Other (at home mom, clergy, meth cook, stalker, etc)"

yay, soccer moms and meth cooks in the same catagory...

give me a few days to dig out my notes on the topic for the actual names for the others. Just to give you a rough idea though

There's one for chosen gender neutrality in some cultures, transexuals are named seperately in others, and in others girls that live just like guys, including taking a wife have one, and vice versa for the boys. Some count early childhood as a "gender neutral" gender, and old age as a different "gender neutral" gender.

There's a few more, I can't remember the names for any of them off the top of my head, give me a few days to dig out the notes I have on the topic.
